Portland City Grill (for Happy Hour)
The best view in the city. Go early (like, 4:15) for their happy hour to get a seat so you don’t have to wait and circle like vultures around a table (there’s no waiting list).

Most carts are closed on Monday nights except for downtown.
If you are downtown there are tons of cart pods everywhere, especially at
Potato Champion – Late night french fries and poutine (french fries covered with gravy and cheese curds. DO NOT MISS)
H.U.B. (Hopworks Urban Brewery)
One of Portland great brew-pubs, this place has some of the best bar-food in town; excellent pizzas and sandwiches. Plus, it’s kid friendly before 9pm. – http://www.hopworksbeer.com/

The Nines Hotel
Apparently this place has the second best view compared to Portland City Grill. The Nines contains two new-ish acclaimed restaurants: Departure (asian-fusion) and Urban Farmer. We have not been here yet. Also, we’ve been warned that you’d do well to stay away on the weekend, as the place gets absurdly crowded.
The Nines
Another highly recommended hotel; apparently has a great happy hour spot, Departure(?).
